Modify Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Modify handles information.
Summary
Modify is designed to keep health and readiness data on your device. The app reads Apple Health data only with your permission, calculates readiness locally, and does not sell personal data or use advertising or tracking SDKs.
Information Modify Handles
Apple Health Data
With your permission, Modify reads Apple Health data needed to estimate readiness, activity load, recovery, and sleep debt. This may include workouts, active energy, step count, walking/running distance, cycling distance, swimming distance, heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep analysis, and body mass.
Modify may also write data to Apple Health when you choose to add or update it in the app, such as manual workouts, sleep entries, active energy, distance, or body mass. You control Apple Health permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Raw Apple Health samples are processed on your device. Modify does not send raw Apple Health samples to the developer's servers.
App Data Stored on Your Device
Modify stores app settings and calculated app data locally, including display name, theme, sleep target, body mass preference, notification settings, onboarding state, trial dates, readiness cache, widget snapshot data, streaks, badges, levels, XP, and achievement history.
Some access-control data, such as trial dates, may be stored in the iOS Keychain. Widget data may be stored in the app group container so Modify widgets can display current readiness and progress.
Purchases
Modify uses Apple's StoreKit for purchases and purchase restoration. Apple processes payment information. Modify receives purchase entitlement status, product identifiers, transaction status, and related App Store purchase metadata needed to unlock app access. Modify does not receive your payment card number.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Modify schedules local notifications such as morning readiness and sleep debt reminders. Notification preferences and scheduled times are stored on your device. You can disable notifications in the app or iOS Settings.
Calendar Events
If you choose to add a suggested session to your calendar, Modify requests calendar write access and creates the event you selected. Modify uses write-only calendar access where available and does not need to read your calendar events.
Feedback
If you use Send Feedback, Modify sends the feedback category, your message, optional contact email, app version, build number, bundle identifier, iOS version, device model, and locale to the app's feedback service.
Diagnostics are sent only when you enable them. Diagnostics include summarized app state such as Apple Health connection state, current readiness mode, and signal coverage percentage. Diagnostics do not include raw Apple Health samples.
Because feedback is sent over the network, the feedback service and hosting providers may receive standard request metadata such as IP address and request time. Feedback may be stored in support systems or issue trackers so the developer can review and respond to it.
How Information Is Used
Modify uses information to:
- calculate readiness, recovery, sleep debt, load, trends, goals, widgets, streaks, badges, and daily guidance;
- save Health data you manually choose to add;
- schedule notifications you enable;
- add calendar events you request;
- verify purchase access and restore purchases;
- respond to feedback and diagnose app issues.
Modify does not use Apple Health data for advertising, tracking, or sale to third parties.
Sharing
Modify does not sell your personal data.
Information may be handled by:
- Apple, through iOS, Apple Health, StoreKit, notifications, calendar permissions, App Store purchases, and system services;
- the app's feedback service and its infrastructure providers, only when you submit feedback;
- support or issue-tracking tools used to manage feedback you choose to send.
Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, reset progress where the app provides that option, revoke permissions, remove specific Apple Health entries, or uninstall the app.
Apple Health data is controlled through Apple Health and iOS Settings. Purchase records are handled by Apple according to Apple's App Store and payment policies. Feedback is retained as long as needed to review, respond to, debug, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations.
Your Choices
You can:
- revoke Apple Health permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings;
- delete or edit Health entries in Apple Health;
- disable notifications in Modify or iOS Settings;
- choose not to submit feedback, omit your email, or leave diagnostics off;
- reset gamification progress in Modify;
- uninstall Modify to remove app-local data from your device.
To request deletion of feedback you submitted, contact the developer through the app's Send Feedback feature or the support contact listed on the App Store product page.
Children
Modify is not intended for children under 13.
Security
Modify relies on iOS protections for app sandboxing, Health permissions, Keychain storage, and user-controlled system permissions. Feedback is sent over HTTPS.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Modify's features or data practices change. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
